This Work Comes From Experience

About Julie

I have always built systems.

They brought me comfort.

They helped me step back and see my work from

a higher vantage point. But when I stepped into leadership, something shifted.

I found myself frustrated. Short-tempered. Interrupted by constant one-off questions.

Pulled away from the bigger picture to solve the same problems over and over again.

And the truth was—I wasn’t leading well.

Not because I didn’t care. Not because I wasn’t capable.

But because I hadn’t yet learned how to build systems that supported the people around me.

The Shift

As I grew in leadership, I realized something had to change.

I had to stop expecting my team to operate the way I did—

and start designing systems that worked for them.

I began to think differently:

  • Where would they naturally look for information?

  • What needed to be clearly defined?

  • How could expectations live outside of me?

I built structure. They worked within it. And everything changed.

The constant interruptions lessened. The overwhelm eased. And instead of reacting all day, I was able to lead.

What I Know Now

Strong leaders don’t struggle because they lack effort. They struggle when systems aren’t built with the user in mind.

Most teams don’t fall short because they aren’t capable. They struggle when expectations are unclear, communication is inconsistent, and everyone is operating from their own perspective instead of a shared plan. When there is no structure, everything depends on the leader. And that’s where burnout begins.

Who This Work Is For

This work is for leaders who are ready to grow—but are tired of feeling overwhelmed in the process.

Women balancing leadership and life. New leaders stepping into roles without clear direction. Experienced leaders working within systems that don’t support their success.

If you’ve ever felt like everything depends on you…
If stepping away feels impossible…
If you’re doing your best but it still feels harder than it should…

You’re not alone. And you’re not stuck.

What Makes This Work Different

This approach is grounded in lived experience.

Through parenting, leadership, loss, navigating systems that weren’t built to support me, and pushing through barriers that were both visible and unspoken—I learned how to keep moving forward.

I don’t accept “no.”
A closed door is simply a turn in the road.

And that perspective shapes everything I do. Because leadership isn’t about working harder. It’s about building something that works—consistently, sustainably, and beyond you.

Experience

With over 20 years in education and more than a decade in leadership, I currently serve as a Fine Arts administrator, leading and supporting over 70 educators.

My work has always centered on building systems that allow people to do their best work—clearly, confidently, and with purpose.

The Philosophy

Leadership should feel logical—not reactive.

You don’t need more people.
You don’t need more ideas.

You need a plan that works without you—and one you can replicate with clarity and confidence.

Beyond the Work

You’ll often find me working out with friends, spending time with family, and leaning into the traditions and community that ground me.

I value connection, consistency, and growth—and I believe you can be part of something meaningful while still standing fully in who you are.
